Dhünnaue

The Dhünnaue was a housing estate in Leverkusen on the Dhünn , a tributary of the Wupper .

In the 1980s it was found that the settlement was built on a former hazardous waste dump . The entire settlement area had to be removed and the landfill sealed.

From 2004 the area was redesigned to the Neuland Park , where the North Rhine-Westphalian State Garden Show took place from April 16 to October 9, 2005 .
