Dhū l-Qaʿda

The Dhū l-Qaʿda ( Arabic ذو القعدة, DMG Ḏū l-Qaʿda ) is the eleventh and penultimate month of the Islamic calendar .

meaning

The status of Dhu l-qaʿda, as well as of Dhu l-hiddscha, Muharram and Rajab , as haram , which means a ban on fighting, dates back to pre-Islamic times . In India, the Dhu l-qaʿda has the nickname Chali , "empty", because it is free from generally valid holidays.

In India the holy festival of Gesudaraz is celebrated in Dhu l-qaʿda.

In Dhu l-qaʿda, the second and third days are considered negative for some.
