Science award

The “Aquila ascendens” is a young talent award for security policy from the Security Policy Dialogue Forum in cooperation with the “Security Policy Working Group of the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich”. Master theses and dissertations in the field of security policy are awarded. The aim of the award is to promote academic engagement with the topic and to make it known to a wider audience. In addition, incentives are to be created for young academics to research in this area. An advisory board, supported by a scientific committee made up of representatives from science, foundations, the church, the military, business and the media, decides on the award of the work.

The patronage was the politician and member of the Bundestag Ralf Brauksiepe in 2016 .
