Eberhard Grein

Eberhard Grein (born May 5, 1959 in Hildesheim ) is a German economist , author and officer ( Colonel d. R.).

Life

Grein was an officer in the armored force of the Bundeswehr and went through various troop and staff assignments. He studied business administration at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and the University of St. Gallen as well as political science at the University of Politics in Munich and Sinology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich . As a reserve officer he was trained at the Center for Intelligence in the Bundeswehr and u. a. Used as a defense attaché and in the Federal Ministry of Defense . He is a lieutenant colonel in the reserve. Grein is Deputy Chairman of the Bavarian State Group in the Association of Reservists of the German Federal Armed Forces and has been the press and public relations officer there since 1998. In 2012 he founded the DialogForum Security Policy, which he has headed since then.

In 1992 Grein started working for Siemens , where he currently works as a manager in the press department.

Teaching

From 1992 to 2006 Grein was a lecturer in the business administration course at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. In 2003 Grein graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava with the dissertation Ways into a new social market economy. Analytical approaches for the democratically legitimized states in Central and Eastern Europe with special reference to the work of Oswald von Nell-Breuning doctorate. He also graduated as a certified PR consultant (DPRG / GPRA) at the Academy for Management and Communication in Frankfurt am Main. Since 2006 he has been teaching at the FOM - University of Economics and Management and the North Hesse University of Applied Sciences . At the North Hesse University of Applied Sciences, he has been Head of the Munich Study Center since 2016. He is a lecturer at Chinese and Russian universities, such as the Moscow State University, where he has been lecturing for several years. In 2009 the Russian State University for Tourism and Services appointed him an honorary professor at the Chair of Economics and Entrepreneurship .

Private

Grein is divorced and has three children. His personal interests lie in the field of current political events, classical music, sports and yoga as well as the publication of humanities, economics and security policy texts. Grein is u. a. Member of the German Society for Foreign Policy , the German-Russian Forum, the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg and the Hölderlin Society .

He is the biographer of the world-famous social ethicist, economist and Jesuit Oswald von Nell-Breuning .
