Marlies Jeannette Fransisca Smulders (born February 22, 1982 in Amstelveen ) is a former Dutch rower who won two Olympic medals in eighth .

Athletic career

Marlies Smulders from Amsterdam Rowing Club RV Skoll occupied at the Junior World Championships in fourth place with the 2000 quadruple sculls . In 2002 she reached the B-final in the quadruple sculls at the world championships in the adult class and finished eighth in the overall standings. In 2003 , the double scull finished ninth.
