Nienke Hommes

Nienke Heiltje Hommes (born February 20, 1977 in Haarlem ) is a former Dutch rower who won an Olympic bronze medal in eighth .

The 1.80 m wide Nienke Hommes from Amsterdam Rowing Club RV Skoll reached at the 2002 World Championships , the B-final of the quadruple sculls , finishing in the standings to eighth place. In 2003 , the double scull finished ninth. The World Cup season review 2004 began Nienke Hommes Smulders in the quadruple sculls, with whom she reached the sixth place in the second World Cup regatta. In the third regatta, she rowed the Dutch eight to second place behind the US boat. In 2005, Hommes rowed eight the whole season. At the 2005 World Championships, the Dutch women won the bronze medal behind Australia and Romania.
