Rowing World Championships 2003

The 2003 World Rowing Championships were held from August 24th to 31st, 2003 on Lake Idroscalo in Milan , Italy . According to the World Rowing Association , 405 boats with 1078 athletes from 65 countries in 28 boat classes were registered. In addition to the determination of the rowing world champions , around 65% of the starting places for the 2004 Olympic rowing regatta in Athens were allocated at the regatta (130 of 202 boat places ).
