Milan Doleček (rower, 1982)
Milan Doleček (born March 18, 1982 in Mělník ) is a Czech rower .
Athletic career
Doleček was fourth in the eighth at the 1999 Junior World Championships , and in 2000 he won the bronze medal in the quadruple sculls . In the adult class, he also started in the quadruple scull in 2001 and finished eleventh at the world championships . In 2002 he formed a double scull with Ondřej Synek , the two took second place twice at the Rowing World Cup behind the Hungarians Ákos Haller and Tibor Pető and won in Munich. At the World Championships , the two Czechs finished fifth. In the 2003 World Cup in Milan, the French Sébastien Vieilledent and Adrien Hardy won ahead of the Czechs, while the Czechs won in Lucerne. At the World Championships in Milan , the French won ahead of the Italian double sculls, Doleček and Synek received the bronze medal. The two Czechs finished fifth at the Olympic Games in Athens .
In 2005 the Czech quadruple took second place twice and third place once in the World Cup , while Milan Doleček, Václav Chalupa , Jakub Hanák and David Jirka rowed fourth at the World Championships in Gifu . In the 2006 World Cup, the Czech double foursome won in Munich and Lucerne and took third place in Poznan behind Poland and France. At the World Championships in Eton , Tomáš Karas , Václav Chalupa, Milan Doleček and David Jirka came in fifth. In the 2007 season Doleček and Chalupa tried double sculls, the sixteenth place at the World Championships in Munich was not enough for the Olympic qualification. At the end of the 2007 season, Doleček competed with the Czech eighth at the European Championships in Poznan , the eighth won the title ahead of the Poles and the Belarusians. In 2008 Doleček returned to the double foursome, which finished eighth and fifth in the World Cup. At the 2008 Olympic Games , the Czech double-scull with Petr Vitasek , Doleček, Hanák and Jirka missed the A-final and finished in tenth place.
In 2009 Doleček rowed at the World Championships in Poznan with the four without a helmsman in the line-up of Jan Gruber , Milan Doleček, Milan Bruncvík and Michal Horváth to fourth place. In 2010 the four-man in this line-up won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Montemor , and the Czech four-man without a helmsman took ninth place at the World Championships . At the 2011 World Championships , Doleček finished twelfth with the four-man without a helmsman. In 2012 he won the bronze medal at the European Championships with the Czech eighth . After a sixth place with the eighth at the 2013 European Championships , Doleček entered the 2013 World Championships in a four-man without a helmsman and reached sixth place. In 2014 the Czech four-man without a helmsman took eighth place at the European championships and fourteenth place at the world championships .
