Janet Radünzel , for Marriage Janet Wiesinger (* 7. May 1973 ) is a former German lightweight - rower .

Athletic career

The 1.75 m tall Janet Radünzel from the Rendsburg rowing club won her first international medal in 1995 at the World Championships in Tampere . The German lightweight four without a helmsman with Gunda Reimers , Janet Radünzel, Jutta Schausten and Gaby Schulz took third place behind the boats from the United States and the United Kingdom. In the following year Radünzel finished sixth with the four at the World Championships in Glasgow .

Four years later Gunda Reimers and Janet Radünzel won bronze in the lightweight two-man without helmsman at the 2000 World Championships in Zagreb . In 2001 she switched to the lightweight double scull . Together with Claudia Blasberg , she won the Rowing World Cup in Seville and Munich. At the World Championships in Lucerne, the two won two and a half seconds ahead of the Polish and Romanians. In 2002, the two won the first two World Cup regattas in Hazewinkel and Lucerne. At the World Championships in Seville, the Australians Sally Causby and Amber Halliday won with seven tenths of a second ahead of the two Germans. In 2003 Radünzel won the World Cup in Munich in the lightweight single . In Milan at the 2003 World Championships , Canadian Fiona Milne won the lightweight single ahead of Croatian Mirna Rajle Brođanac , while Janet Radünzel won the bronze medal. In 2004 Janet Radünzel ended her career.
