Anna Kleinz

Anna little toe (* 5. October 1979 ) is a former German lightweight - rower . She won two gold medals and one silver medal at world championships.

Athletic career

Anna Kleinz from Limburger CfW won the bronze medal in the double scull at the Junior World Championships in 1996 . In 1998 she took third place in the lightweight double scull with Valerie Viehoff at the German rowing championships in Duisburg . Together with Maja Darmstadt and Gunda Reimers occupied Viehoff and little toe into second place in the lightweight quadruple sculls . At the World Cup in Lucerne, the German boat with Anna Kleinz, Valerie Viehoff, Nicole Faust and Christine Morawitz won the lightweight double quad . Two months after Lucerne, the 1998 World Championships took place in Cologne , Kleinz, Viehoff, Faust and Morawitz won the title in front of the boats from the United States and Greece.

The German rowing championships in 1999 also took place in Cologne. In the lightweight double sculls, Kleinz and Morawitz took third place. Maja Darmstadt, Katja Cadorin , Anna Kleinz and Christine Morawitz rowed into second place in the lightweight quad scull. At the World Cup regatta in Lucerne, Angelika Brand , Christine Morawitz, Anna Kleinz and Maja Darmstadt won the lightweight double quad. At the end of August at the 1999 World Championships in St. Catharines, the boat from the United States won ahead of the Germans and Canadians. At the German Rowing Championships 2000 in Berlin, Maja Darmstadt, Michelle Darvill , Anna Kleinz and Karin Stephan took second place. The four rowers won the World Cup regatta in Lucerne and then the 2000 World Championships in Zagreb.

In 2001 in Cologne, Kleinz, who had not previously won a title at the German championships, won the lightweight quadruple scull title together with Claudia Blasberg , Janet Radünzel and Svenja Zurkuhl . In the lightweight one she won ahead of Svenja Zurkuhl. In the World Cup, Kleinz competed in the lightweight single and finished fifth in Vienna and eleventh in Munich. At the World Championships in Lucerne she started together with Svenja Zurkuhl, Karin Maier and Daniela Reimer in the lightweight quadruple sculls and finished in seventh place. In 2002 Anna Kleinz took third place in the lightweight single at the German championships behind Valerie Viehoff and Marie-Louise Dräger . At the World Cup in Lucerne, she finished sixth, Valerie Viehoff was two places ahead of her at the finish.
