Imogen Walsh (* 17th January 1984 in Glasgow ) is a British lightweight - rower .

The 1.62 m tall Imogen Walsh began rowing in 2003 while studying philosophy and politics at Glasgow University , where she usually competed in figure eight . After graduating, she joined the Clyde ARC and learned to scull row there . In 2010 she took part in the trials for the British national team for the first time, but could not prevail. In 2011 she belonged together with Stephanie Cullen , Kathryn Twyman and Andrea Dennis to the British lightweight quadruple scull , which won the title at the World Championships in Bled . In 2012, she and Ruth Walczak rowed the bronze medal in the lightweight double scull at the European Championships .

In 2013 she competed with Kathryn Twyman, and they finished fourth at the World Championships . In 2014 Imogen Walsh rowed together with Katherine Copeland to the bronze medal at the European Championships in Belgrade . At the 2014 World Championships , the two narrowly missed the A-final and finished in seventh place, where they held the world's best performance from the B-final until the end of the A-final. In 2015 Imogen Walsh won the European championship title in the lightweight single . At the 2015 World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette , New Zealander Zoe McBride won ahead of Imogen Walsh and US rower Kathleen Bertko . In the following season Walsh only reached sixth place at the European Championships in singles, she then switched back to the easy double fours and won her second World Championship gold medal at the World Championships with Brianna Stubbs , Emily Craig and Eleanor Piggott .
