Agnieszka Renc (* 9. January 1986 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish lightweight - rower . In 2012 she became world champion in lightweight quadruple sculls in Plovdiv .

Athletic career

The 1.68 m tall Agnieszka Renc took ninth place in the lightweight double scull at the U23 World Championships in 2008 . In 2009 she rowed with Magdalena Kemnitz and won silver at the World Championships in Poznan behind the Greeks Christina Giazitzidou and Alexandra Tsiavou . The Greek women also won ahead of the two Polish women at the European Championships in Brest . In the following year, the Greek women again won ahead of the Polish women at the European Championships in Montemor . At the 2010 World Championships , the Polish women only reached the C final. In 2011 Renc rowed at the World Championships in Bled in the lightweight single and finished seventh. At the European Championships in 2011 , Kemnitz and Renc took sixth place in the lightweight double scull. In 2012 Renc competed with Magdalena Kemnitz, Jaclyn Halko and Weronika Deresz in the lightweight quadruple sculls at the world championships in the non-Olympic boat classes and won the title. At the end of the 2012 season, Deresz and Renc took fourth place in the lightweight double scull at the European Championships in Varese .
