The Clisham , Scottish Gaelic An Cliseam , is a mountain on the Scottish Hebridean island of Lewis and Harris .
geography
The Clisham is located in a largely unpopulated region in the north of Harris , the southern part of the twin island of Lewis and Harris. The island's capital, Tarbert , is seven kilometers south. At 799 meters high, Clisham is the highest mountain in Lewis and Harris and also in the Outer Hebrides. There is a triangulation point on the top of the Clisham, classified as a Corbett .
The Clisham has two secondary peaks, the Mulla-fo-Dheas and the Mulla-fo-Thuath , with heights of 743 and 720 meters respectively. Loch Langavat begins around 5.5 kilometers north. The estuaries of West Loch Tarbert and Loch Seaforth are about four kilometers southwest and five kilometers east, respectively.
