Zoe McBride (* 27. September 1995 ) is a New Zealand lightweight - rower . In 2015 she won the world title in the lightweight single .

Zoe McBride won the bronze medal in the lightweight quadruple sculls at the 2012 Junior World Championships , and the New Zealand boat finished fifth at the 2013 Junior World Championships . At the U23 World Championships in 2014, she and Sophie MacKenzie won the title in the lightweight double scull . She was able to repeat this success in 2015 with Jackie Kiddle.

In the 2015 season, Zoe McBride also competed in the adult class. In the lightweight single, she won the World Cup regattas in Varese and Lucerne. She also won the 2015 World Championships on Lac d'Aiguebelette and received the gold medal ahead of the British Imogen Walsh and the US rower Kathleen Bertko . She was able to defend the title at the 2016 World Championships .

In 2017, McBride and Jackie Kiddle formed New Zealand's lightweight double scull. After the preliminary performances, the duo went to the world championships , where they were surprisingly referred to silver in the finals by the Romanians Ionela-Livia Lehaci and Gianina-Elena Beleagă . The following year, McBride and Kiddle finished sixth at the 2018 World Championships . In 2019 the two New Zealanders won the World Cup regattas in Poznan and Rotterdam. At the 2019 World Championships in Linz, the two won ahead of the Dutch Marieke Keijser and Ilse Paulis .

Zoe McBride, who is 1.70 m tall, grew up in Dunedin and studies at Massey University . She is a member of the Nelson Rowing Club .
