María Teresa Lara Aguirre del Pino (* 1904 in Tlatlauquitepec ; † 23. May 1984 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican songwriter and composer .

Life

María Teresa Lara was the daughter of Joaquín M. Lara and his wife María Aguirre del Pino. Her older brother was the composer and singer Agustín Lara (1897-1984), who was temporarily in a relationship with the film actress María Félix (1914-2002). She often worked with him on various song compositions; the copyright of some of the songs was registered under her name alone. She was married to Nicanor Guzmán Guerrero (1909-1992) without children.
