World Rowing Championships 2000

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2000 World Rowing Championships were held from August 1 to 6, 2000 on Lake Jarun in Zagreb , Croatia, under the rules of the World Rowing Federation (FISA). The 14 Olympic boat classes were not held because of the Olympic rowing regatta 2000 in Sydney, so that the rowing world champions were only determined in the 10 non-Olympic boat classes . Because of the small registration field, the world championships were organized together with those of the juniors . 417 athletes in 135 teams from 41 nations took part in the competition.
