World Rowing Championships 1990

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1990 World Rowing Championships were held on Lake Barrington in the state of Tasmania , Australia under the rules of the World Rowing Federation (FISA). Rowing world champions were determined in 22 boat classes . The finals took place on November 3rd and 4th, 1990; the event began on October 30th.

For Germany, despite the reunification of the GDR and the Federal Republic, two teams started for the last time and took the first two places in the medal table. About two months after the world championships, the clubs of the East German DRSV ( German Rowing Sports Association ) were incorporated into the West German DRV ( German Rowing Association ) on January 1, 1991 .
