Meike Holländer
Meike Holländer (born January 18, 1965 in Bremerhaven ) is a former German rower .
Athletic career
Meike Holländer took part in the Junior World Championships three times . In 1981 she finished fourth with eighth , in 1982 she won the silver medal with eighth and in 1983 she finished seventh in a double scull. In 1985 she took part in the world championships in the adult class for the first time and finished ninth in the quadruple scull . Two years later she finished fifth at the 1987 World Championships with eighth . At the 1988 Olympic Games , she finished seventh with eighth. In 1990 she won the silver medal behind the Romanian boat at the 1990 World Championships in New Zealand with the four without a helmsman in the line-up of Sylvia Dördelmann , Meike Holländer, Gabriele Mehl and Cerstin Petersmann .
The 1.78 m tall rower from Bremerhaven RV from 1889 won the 1985 German championship in quadruples. Together with Gabriele Mehl, she was three times runner-up in the two-man competition without a helmsman . In 1990 she rowed her second championship title with the four-man without a helmsman.
