Rowing World Championships 1974

The 1974 World Rowing Championships were held from September 2 to 9, 1974 on the Rotsee in Lucerne , Switzerland under the rules of the World Rowing Association (FISA). Rowing world champions were determined in 17 boat classes . For the first time, titles were awarded in boat classes for women and lightweight men at the fourth World Rowing Championships after 1962 , 1966 and 1970 . The rowing world championships have also been held annually since 1974.

Results

The medal winners from the A finals are listed here. These were manned by six boats, which had to qualify for the finals through preliminary runs, hope runs and semi-finals. The length of the course was 2000 meters in all men's runs and 1000 meters in all women's runs.
