Bernd Truschinski

Bernd Truschinski (born April 13, 1949 in Dortmund ; † January 23, 2008 ) was a German rower . He won the 1974 World Championship bronze in a four-man without a helmsman .

Truschinski started for the rowing club Hansa from 1898 (Dortmund). In 1971 he won his first German championship title with the eighth . After becoming in 1972 German champion in the coxless four and in the coxed four, Truschinski joined the Olympics in 1972 with the Germany-eighth of the boat took on home turf at the Olympia Rowing Course in fifth place after a long time on the Medal places.

In 1974 Truschinski won the German championship title in four without a helmsman and in eight. The four without a helmsman with Peter van Roye , Klaus Jäger , Bernd Truschinski and Reinhard Wendemuth took third place behind the boats from the GDR and the Soviet Union at the 1974 rowing world championships on the Rotsee near Lucerne. In 1975 Truschinski won the German championship title in four without a helmsman and in eight. In 1976 he finished fourth at the Olympic Games in Montreal with Germany eighth. In 1977 he won the German championship title in eighth, it was his fourth title in this boat class and his eighth championship title.
