Otto Lang (born July 2, 1883 in Angersbach , † September 6, 1955 in Soltau ) was a German veterinarian and Hessian politician ( NSDAP ). He was a member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

family

Otto Lang was the son of the merchant Friedrich Lang and his wife Maria, née Rodemer. He was married to Lina Lang, née Müller.

education and profession

Otto Lang studied veterinary medicine after graduating from high school and was awarded a Dr. med. vet. PhD . From 1908 to 1927 he worked as a veterinarian in Nieder-Moos . In the First World War he did military service . From 1927 he was a veterinarian in Grebenhain .

politics

Otto Lang was politically close to the NLP and the Bauernbund in the German Empire . On April 19, 1926, he joined the NSDAP ( membership number 34,689) and was the main initiator of the establishment of the local NSDAP group in his place of residence Grebenhain on March 1, 1929 as the first in the Lauterbach district . After the circles were introduced as part of the structure of the NSDAP in June 1932, Otto Lang became district leader of the party and also represented the NSDAP from 1932 to 1933 as a member of the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse . After the " seizure of power " he became district director in the Lauterbach district.

In 1934 he was expelled from the party and his doctorate was revoked. Lang's complaint was directed against this measure, which was justified by taking advantage of the office , which was rejected by the NSDAP's Supreme Court .
