Alfred Zürtz

Alfred Zürtz (born August 3, 1884 in Saalfeld , † October 14, 1957 in Lauterbach ) was a Hessian politician ( NSDAP ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Life

Alfred Zürtz was the son of the mechanic August Karl Hermann Zürtz and his wife Minna née Herdegen. He married Johanna Martha, born Otto , on August 2, 1914 in Wilhelmshaven . The couple had a son, Hans-Günter August Hermann Zürtz, born on April 12, 1916 in Riistingen (today Wilhelmshaven), died on December 7, 1942 as first lieutenant in the reserve and field master in the Reich Labor Service near Wyssokoje-Komary, Rshew area. Alfred Zürtz was a construction fitter, deck officer in the Imperial Navy and from 1919 a commercial agent in Darmstadt .

Alfred Zürtz was a member of the district council and the district committee in Darmstadt and second chairman of the Darmstadt city council. From 1932 to 1933 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament for the NSDAP. In the state parliament he was a deputy member of the 2nd committee (legislation). In 1932 he became NSDAP district leader in Darmstadt, in 1934 district director and district leader of the Lauterbach district and in 1937 full-time district leader Alsfeld-Lauterbach.

On the unified list of German Christians , Alfred Zürtz was "elected" to the regional synod of the Evangelical Church in Hesse in the church elections imposed on July 23, 1933 .

After the collapse in 1945, he was arrested by US soldiers. He was able to escape on a prisoner transport and went underground in the Aschaffenburg area. He was believed dead and because of his alleged "death" he was not prosecuted by the tribunal .

Alfred Zürtz now worked as a sales representative for coffee, cocoa and tea. In September 1952 he was exposed and at the age of 69 he was unsuccessfully summoned before the central judgment chamber in Frankfurt to be declared suspect .
