German Chess Prize
The German Chess Prize is the highest award of the German Chess Federation for outstanding services to the promotion of chess. Its predecessor was the Media Prize of the German Chess Federation , which was awarded at irregular intervals from 1977 to 1998. The German Chess Prize took its place in 2000.
