Alfred Wilhelm Ludwig Graf zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (-Alt-Pouch) (* May 5, 1810 in Kotitz, today in Weißenberg , Upper Lusatia ; † January 31, 1870 in Berlin ) was a Prussian nobleman and politician .

Alfred zu Solms-Sonnenwalde came from a branch of the Hessian aristocratic family Solms, who were wealthy in Brandenburg , with headquarters in Sonnewalde and other goods in Hillmersdorf , Proßmarke and Pouch . The possession of the registrar of Sonnewalde granted a virile vote on the man's bench of the provincial parishes of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz as well as a hereditary seat in the Prussian manor house .

Alfred was the son of Wilhelm zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (1787–1859) and Clementine Constantia Countess von Breßler (1790–1872). He married Countess Amalie von Schwerin-Wolfshagen (1820-1900), with whom he had a daughter who died in childhood. His younger brother Theodor became heir .

Life

Alfred zu Solms-Sonnenwalde had been the registrar of the Sonnenwalde rulership and landowner on Hillberdsorf, Proßmarke and Pouch since 1859. He also took over the hereditary seat of the family on the Herrenbank in the provincial parliaments of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz and in 1861 in the Prussian manor house, to which he belonged until his death.
