Wilhelm Karl Peter Theodor Graf zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (-Alt-Pouch) (born October 29, 1787 in Würzau , Kurland , † November 26, 1859 in Sonnewalde ) was a Prussian nobleman and politician .

Wilhelm zu Solms-Sonnenwalde came from a branch of the Hessian aristocratic family Solms, who were wealthy in Brandenburg, with headquarters in Sonnewalde and other goods in Hillmersdorf , Proßmarke and Pouch . The possession of the registrar of Sonnewalde granted a viril vote on the gentleman's bench of the provincial parishes of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz as well as a hereditary seat in the Prussian manor house .

Wilhelm was the son of Wilhelm Christian Graf zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (1755–1799) and Friederike, b. Countess von Schlippenbach (1767–1843), and grandson of Victor Friedrich von Solms-Sonnenwalde . He was married to Clementine Constantia Countess von Breßler (1790–1872); they had seven children:

Life

Wilhelm zu Solms-Sonnenwalde was since 1799, initially still a minor, civil lord on Sonnenwalde and manor owner on Hillmersdorf with Proßmarke and pouch . He was chamberlain and Prussian major. Since 1835 he was a member of the provincial estates of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz. In 1847/1848 he received a seat in the gentleman's curia of the First and Second United State Parliaments . From 1854 until his death he held a seat in the Prussian manor house.
