Hillmersdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1360. The place name, which appears as "Hildebrandstorff" in 1420, is probably derived from the personal name Hildebrand .

There was a manor in the village, which already existed in the 14th century and was owned by the Raschkaus. The village was completely destroyed in the Thirty Years War . Reconstruction began in 1651. In 1672 the village again had six Hufen and six gardening plots.

In 1814 it came through inheritance to the Counts of Solms, who lived in Sonnewalde .

In a directory by JC Schurich from 1791, a windmill is listed, which can also be found in the years 1820, 1902/04, 1906 and 1935.

On December 31, 2001, the voluntary merger with the neighboring communities Naundorf and Stechau took place to form the community Fichtwald.
