Naundorf is a district of the municipality of Fichtwald in the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg . It is located about five kilometers northeast of the town of Schlieben on federal highway 87 .
history
The district was mentioned in documents as early as 1346 as "Nawendorff", which means something like "New Village". Naundorf was created as a so-called dead end village with a wide village green.
Until a few years ago, there was also a water mill on the village green . In a directory by JC Schurich from 1791, the mill still appears with one gear. In 1779 it was owned by Christian Gottfried Zscharnack. Another mention followed in 1821. The mill, to which a cutting mill belonged and which was housed in a half-timbered building, had an overshot water wheel.
There is a restaurant in the “Sand” part of the community on Bundesstrasse 87. Its origin goes back to an inheritance tavern, which was mentioned in a document as early as 1679 and whose location was originally in the village.
From 1770 to 1972 Naundorf had its own school. There has been a bell on the old school building since 1805.
On December 31, 2001, the voluntary merger with the neighboring communities Hillmersdorf and Stechau took place to form the community of Fichtwald.

Regular events
Pentecost
The Naundorf Whitsun Festival is a village festival that takes place on the Whitsun holidays, and is celebrated on the local sports field on Whitsunday. There is also live music and performances by the villagers in a party tent. Another component is the traditional football game against teams from the immediate area since 1978.
Easter fire
The annual Easter bonfire is a long-ago tradition of the villagers. The custom dates back to ancient times and was used to drive away the winter, to burn. It was probably believed that the glow of the fire had a cleansing effect and protected the germinating seeds from evil spirits, and so the Easter fires were also considered a cult to ensure fertility, growth and harvest, with the ashes being spread over the fields. This custom was later adopted by Christians. It is usually celebrated on an agricultural area with typical Easter customs, such as looking for Easter eggs and toasting the new era with beer and wine.
Naundorf record player days
The Naundorf Turntable Days are a top-class music event. Well-known DJs of the genres minimal, techno and electro sounds do their best to entertain a wide audience. The event is characterized by first-class entertainment, low prices and outstanding location design and takes place once a year on the premises of the local sports field. The Naundorf Record Player Days are organized exclusively by the members of the local youth club.

In 1872 a fire brigade was founded in Naundorf for the first time, whose membership was mandatory for the male residents of the village. Since 1936 there has been no compulsory membership with regard to demographic and machine development. The year 1936 now stands for an informal participation in the happenings of the newly founded volunteer fire brigade Naundorf. Since it was founded in 1872, the fire brigade in Naundorf has been using the newly developed manual pressure syringe, which was invented, built and sold by the master coppersmith Heiligenstädt from Herzberg. According to the circumstances, the fire brigades in the vicinity of Herzberg, including the fire brigade in Naundorf, provided a decisive basis for testing and further developing the new spray technology. In order to be able to assess this independently, Heiligenstädt visited the site once a year to carry out a spray test and then to evaluate it. A "printing team" that was needed to operate the manual pressure syringe consisted of eight men. For those invention Holy Städt was the Order of the Crown of Emperor Wilhelm I awarded.
At the syringe house at that time there was a board on which comrades who were on standby were requested in the event of an emergency to come with their horse and cart to pull the syringe (e.g. syringe operator: Tanneberger).
The first motorized syringe and the first uniforms were purchased in 1957. In order to be able to acquire these utensils at all, sausage and meat were collected in the entire village. Acting as the current exchange partner, the Koebe company from Luckenwalde found itself and delivered an engine from an extremely sensitive 4-cylinder VW. The Naundorf Volunteer Fire Brigade has owned a portable fire pump (TSA) trailer since 1972 , which was replaced as an emergency vehicle on December 30, 1994 by a TSF-W Mercedes MB 614 D Vario portable fire engine and has so far been used as a fire engine.
