Friedrich Franz Alexander Theodor Graf zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (-Alt-Pouch) (born February 6, 1814 in Prague , † December 28, 1890 in Sonnewalde ) was a Prussian nobleman and politician.

Theodor zu Solms-Sonnenwalde came from a branch of the Hessian aristocratic family Solms, who were wealthy in Brandenburg, with headquarters in Sonnewalde and other goods in Hillmersdorf , Proßmarke and Pouch . The possession of the registrar of Sonnewalde granted a virile vote on the man's bench of the provincial parishes of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz as well as a hereditary seat in the Prussian manor house .

Theodor was the son of Wilhelm zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (1787–1859) and Clementine Constantia Countess von Breßler (1790–1872). In 1837 he married Klara Maria von Rex-Thielau (1815–1886). The couple had three children, Marka (1838-1914), Peter (1840-1922), who became his heir, and Otto Carl (1845-1886).

Life

Theodor zu Solms-Sonnenwalde was a legal knight of the Order of St. John . In 1870 he inherited the rulership of Sonnenwalde from his older brother Alfred and became the landowner on Hillmersdorf, Proßmarke and Pouch. He also took over the hereditary seats of the family on the Herrenbank in the provincial parliaments of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz and in 1871 in the Prussian manor house, to which he belonged until his death.
