Clemens Peter Theodor Graf zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (born April 27, 1840 in Wurschen , † December 17, 1922 in Sonnewalde ) was a German nobleman and politician.

Peter zu Solms-Sonnenwalde came from a branch of the Hessian aristocratic family Solms, who were wealthy in Brandenburg, with headquarters in Sonnewalde and other goods in Hillmersdorf , Proßmarke and Pouch . The possession of the registrar of Sonnewalde granted a virile vote on the man's bench of the provincial parishes of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz as well as a hereditary seat in the Prussian manor house .

Peter zu Solms-Sonnenwalde was the son of Theodor zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (1814–1890) and Klara Maria, née von Rex-Thielau (1815–1886). He married his first cousin Katharina Countess zu Solms-Sonnenwalde (1843–1895). The couple had five children:

  • Margarethe (1870–1932),
  • Adriana Katharine Felicitas (1873–1956),
  • Sabine (1878-1881),
  • Martina Helene Fanny Marie (1883–1957).

Life

Peter zu Solms-Sonnenwalde was a royal Prussian colonel à la suite , legal knight of the Order of St. John and owner of the Sonnenwalde class, lord of Alt-Pouch, co-owner of Neu-Pouch ( Bitterfeld district ) and lord of Wurschen, Rechern and Belgern in the Kingdom of Saxony .

From 1891 until its dissolution in 1918 he was a member of the Prussian manor house and the provincial parliament of the Kurmark Brandenburg and Niederlausitz.
