David Weinberg

David Bruce Leslie Weinberg (born March 2, 1952 in Boston ) is a former helmsman in rowing from the United States , who was 1974 world champion with the eighth .

In 1973 the four-man with helmsman from the United States took fourth place at the European Championships , in which non-European boats were also permitted in years without World Championships and the Olympic Games. In 1974, the US eight won the title at the World Championships in Lucerne , with the first five boats only about three seconds apart. At the 1975 World Championships , Weinberg finished fifth with eighth. The following year, the eighth from the United States finished ninth at the Olympic Games in Montreal . With Richard Cashin , John Everett , Mark Norelius , Alan Shealy and David Weinberg, there were five world champions from 1974 in 1976.

The five-foot-tall vineyard graduated from Harvard University in 1974 and later became a banker in New York City.
