Claas-Peter Fischer

Claas-Peter Fischer (born February 22, 1968 in Bremerhaven ) is a former German rower who was world champion with the eighth in 1991 .

Athletic career

At the U23 World Championships in 1989, Fischer won with the eight and in 1990 with the four with helmsman . At the 1990 World Championships in Tasmania , the German four-man without a helmsman with Martin Kiefer , Claas-Peter Fischer, Jürgen Hecht and Thorsten Streppelhoff took sixth place. In 1991 Fischer moved up to eighth place in Germany and won the title at the World Championships in Vienna . After a break of several years, Fischer started again in 1996. Ike Landvoigt , Stefan Forster , Claas-Peter Fischer and Stefan Scholz took ninth place in the four without a helmsman at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

The 1.94 m tall Claas-Peter Fischer started for years for the Dortmund rowing club Hansa from 1898 , in 1996 he belonged to the rowing club Favorite Hammonia from Hamburg. Fischer won German championships in 1990 and 1996 with the four-man without a helmsman, and in 1991 he was German champion with the eighth.
