Jürgen Hecht

Jürgen Hecht (born November 9, 1969 ) is a former German rower who was world champion with the eighth in 1991 .

At the U23 World Championships in 1988 Hecht won the silver medal with the German eight, in 1989 he won with the eight and in 1990 with the four with helmsman . At the 1990 World Championships in Tasmania , the German four-man without a helmsman with Martin Kiefer , Claas-Peter Fischer , Jürgen Hecht and Thorsten Streppelhoff took sixth place. In 1991, Hecht and Wolfgang Klapheck won the German championship title in two without a helmsman . Both moved up to eighth place in Germany and won the title at the World Championships in Vienna . In 1994, Hecht returned to eighth place in Germany. At the World Championships in Indianapolis , eighth took fourth place and missed a medal for the first time since 1987.

Jürgen Hecht started for the rowing club Mark from Wetter on the Ruhr .
