Sebastian Schulte (born December 13, 1978 in Wiesbaden ) is a former German rower and today's industry manager .

Career

After studying economics at the University of Bochum, he was in 2008 at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge graduated successfully ( "Fair Value Measurement for non-financial assets"). From 2003 to 2008 he was active speaker in the German Rowing Association. In 2007 Schulte was Vice President of the Cambridge University Boat Club (CUBC).

In 2000 he was U23 world champion in eighth and from 2001 to 2007 Sebastian Schulte formed the regular team in Germany eighth , with whom he became world champion in 2006 after bronze medal (2001 and 2005) and silver (2002) in Eton. He finished fourth at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

During his studies at Cambridge he qualified for the Cambridge University Boat in 2005, 2006 and 2007. After two losses in the Boat Race against Oxford, he was able to win the race for Cambridge in 2007. The year 2007 continued to be positive and ended with a runner-up world title for eighth. After his return to Germany and weak performances at the World Cups, he lost his place in the Germany eighth place in 2008 after the German Rowing Association formed a new team shortly before the Olympic Games.

After completing his studies in Cambridge, Schulte held various positions at the corporate headquarters of ThyssenKrupp AG . From 2014 to 2017, Schulte contributed to the restructuring and sale of the ThyssenKrupp steel plant in Rio de Janeiro as Chief Financial Officer . Schulte has been Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the shipyards division of the ThyssenKrupp Group ( ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems ) with locations in Hamburg, Emden and Kiel since the beginning of 2018 .
