Jochen Lerche

Jochen Lerche (often Joachim Lerche ; * 1973 ) is a former German rower who was world champion with the eighth in 1995 .

Athletic career

At the Junior World Championships in 1991, Lerche took third place with the four-man without a helmsman . In 1994 the rower from the Munich Rowing Club from 1880 won the title at the German championships in a four-man with a helmsman ( Wolfram Huhn , Henrik Loth , Ingmar Guhl , Jochen Lerche and helmsman Rico Bräutigam ).

At the German Championships in 1995, Ingmar Guhl, Colin von Ettingshausen , Matthias Ungemach , Mark Kleinschmidt , Frank Richter , Ike Landvoigt , Jochen Lerche, Dieter Sator and helmsman Guido Groß won the eighth . For the world championships in Tampere the boat was put together from the two first-placed boats of the German championships. Detlef Kirchhoff , Stefan Forster , Marc Weber , Roland Baar and helmsman Peter Thiede moved out of the second-placed boat to join Frank Richter, Ike Landvoigt, Dieter Sator and Jochen Lerche from the master boat. The result in Tampere was the world title for the Germany eighth .

In 1997, Sebastian Thormann , Mark Kleinschmidt, Jochen Lerche, Robert Sens , Detlef Kirchhoff, Enrico Schnabel , Ulrich Viefers , Ike Landvoigt and helmsman Peter Thiede won the German championships . In the 1997 World Cup season , the German eighth won in Munich and Lucerne, with the eighth in Paris in between. At the 1997 World Championships , the eighth finished with the same line-up as at the German Championships in fifth place.
