Andreas Lütkefels

Andreas Lütkefels (born June 19, 1964 in Münster ) is a former German rower who was world champion with the eighth in 1993 .

Athletic career

The 1.94 m tall Andreas Lütkefels actually came from the Münster rowing club in 1882 , but started in the years of his international championship participation for the Dortmund rowing club Hansa from 1898 . Lütkefels took second place in the four-man team at the German championships in 1988 and 1989 . At the 1988 Summer Olympics , a four-man with helmsman Andreas Lütkefels, Christoph Korte , Wolfgang Klapheck , Roland Baar and helmsman Martin Ruppel competed and took seventh place. In 1989 Lütkefels, Korte and Klapheck competed with batsman Armin Eichholz and helmsman Guido Groß at the World Championships in Bled and achieved ninth place. At the 1990 World Championships in Tasmania, Lütkefels and his Dortmund club mate Markus Vogt and the helmsman Jörg Dederding took fifth place in a pair with helmsman .

In 1991 Lütkefels won the German championship together with Markus Bräuer , Stefan Scholz and Markus Vogt the title in the four without a helmsman . At the World Championships in Vienna , the four-man won the bronze medal behind the Australians and the US boat. In 1993 and 1994 Lütkefels won the German championships in eighth place. The Germany eight won the 1993 World Championships in Racice , and the Germany eight came fourth at the 1994 World Championships .
