Richard Cashin

Richard Marshall Cashin (born April 17, 1953 in Washington, DC ) is a former rower from the United States who was world champion with the eighth in 1974 .

In 1974, the US eight won the title at the World Championships in Lucerne , with the first five boats only about three seconds apart. At the 1975 World Championships , Cashin finished fifth with eighth. The following year, the eighth from the United States finished ninth at the Olympic Games in Montreal . With Richard Cashin, John Everett , Mark Norelius , Alan Shealy and helmsman David Weinberg , there were five world champions from 1974 in 1976. In 1979 Cashin formed a two-man without a helmsman with David Fellows . The two won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in San Juan and finished tenth at the world championships .

Cashin graduated from the Harvard University with an MBA and then worked in the investment sector for Citigroup , JP Morgan and later JP Morgan Chase & Co .
