Dietmar Schiller (* in the 20th century ) is a former German rower who was three times world champion starting for the GDR , including one junior world champion.

Career

His first gold medal won at the Schiller FISA Junior Championships 1977 in Finland's Tampere in the category coxless pair .

Dietmar Schiller won the eighth gold medal at the rowing world championships in 1979 in Bled in what was then Yugoslavia (now Slovenia ) with the national rowing team of the German Democratic Republic . The helmsman was Klaus-Dieter Ludwig .

Two years later he won the gold medal with the GDR team in the discipline of four with helmsman at the 1981 World Rowing Championships in Munich , the helmsman was again Klaus-Dieter Ludwig. At the 1983 World Rowing Championships in Duisburg , almost the same team - Harald Jahresling took part instead of Bernd Eichwurzel - won the silver medal in the same discipline.

The last medal win was the bronze medal in a four-man with a helmsman at the 1985 World Rowing Championships in Mechelen ( Belgium ), the helmsman was Hendrik Reiher .
