Ulrich Luhn (born April 1, 1941 in Berlin ) is a former German rower . He was world champion in eighth place in 1966 .

Luhn started for the Ruder Union Arkona Berlin . In 1965, the four-man from Berlin with helmsman in the line-up of Rüdiger Henning , Peter Hertel , Ulrich Luhn, Peter Kuhn and helmsman Uwe Trompler won the German championship title. At the European rowing championships, this four-man took second place behind the Soviet four-man. In 1966, with the exception of Trompler, the Berlin rowers moved into the Germany eight , with which they won both the German championship title and the world championship title.

With Horst Meyer , Dirk Schreyer , Rüdiger Henning and Ulrich Luhn, four rowers from last year's world championship eight sat in the eighth that won the German championships in 1967. Shortly afterwards, the newly assembled eighth also won the European Rowing Championships in Vichy in 1967. In June 1968, Ulrich Luhn sustained a finger injury that caused him to lose his place in the Germany eight to Lutz Ulbricht . Luhn was nominated as a substitute rower for the 1968 Olympic Games , but was not used even after Roland Böse fell ill .

For his sporting success he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on May 10, 1967 .
