Seth Bauer

Seth David Bauer (born September 25, 1959 in Bridgeport , Connecticut ) is a former rower from the United States , who was 1987 world champion with the eighth .

Athletic career

The 1.65 m tall Seth Bauer was the helmsman of the US eight, which won the bronze medal at the 1981 World Championships . In 1982 the eighth came fourth, in 1983 the boat took seventh.

In 1987 Bauer returned to the US eighth and won the title at the World Championships in Copenhagen in front of the boats from the GDR and Italy. At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, the US eight competed with Michael Teti , Jon Smith , Edward Patton , John Rusher , Peter Nordell , Jeffrey McLaughlin , Douglas Burden , John Pescatore and Seth Bauer, compared to last year's line-up only John Rusher for Michael Still on board. In the Olympic final, the eighth from the Federal Republic won ahead of the Soviet boat, the US eighth won the bronze medal.
