Tom Stallard
Thomas "Tom" Alexander Stallard (born September 11, 1978 in Westminster , London ) is a former British rower and current engineer .
As a student at the University of Oxford , Stallard took part in the Boat Race three times (1999, 2000, 2001). He won the silver medal in eighth place at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , after having won gold, silver and bronze medals at the World Rowing Championships . Following the Olympic Games in 2008, Stallard moved to the Formula 1 racing team McLaren . He works there as a performance engineer for Carlos Sainz jr. , before that he worked with Jenson Button and Stoffel Vandoorne .
