Stephen "Steve" Patrick Trapmore (born March 18, 1975 in Hammersmith ) is a former British rower .

At the 1996 World Rowing Championships , Trapmore sat in a four-man with a helmsman , who finished fourth. The following year Trapmore won the bronze medal in the same boat class. In 1998 Trapmore moved to the British eighth , with whom he finished seventh at the World Championships . At the 1999 World Rowing Championships , the defending champion from the USA won in eighth place ahead of the British, who in turn left the Russians and Romanians behind. In 2000, the Croatians won the World Cup kick off, ahead of the British. The other two World Cup regattas were won by the British, who also secured the gold medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney ahead of the Australian hosts and the Croatians. At the World Rowing Championships in 2001 , Trapmore finished fifth with the British eighth.

In 2002, just before the World Championships , the 1.92 m tall Steve Trapmore switched to the four-man with helmsman and, at the end of his career, won his only world title in this boat class.

Trapmore rowed for the Nottinghamshire County Rowing Association . In 2010 he took over the post of head coach at Cambridge University Boat Club .
