Ronald Florijn (born April 21, 1961 in Leiden ) is a former Dutch rower. He won two gold medals in three Olympics.

Athletic career

In 1977 Florijn finished fourth in a double foursome at the Match des Seniors, a forerunner of the U23 World Championships . In 1978 he and Victor Scheffers won the bronze medal in a double scull at the Junior World Championships . In 1979 he took seventh place in the one .

In 1982, 1983 and 1987 the 1.91 m tall Ronald Florijn was the Dutch champions in singles. In 1983, Florijn also started in the single at the World Championships in Duisburg and finished ninth. In 1986 in Nottingham , the Dutch double scull with Hermanus van Eerenbeemt , Ronald Florijn, Henk-Jan Zwolle and Nico Rienks reached the A-final and finished in fifth place. The following year only Florijn was left in the boat. In the line-up of Hans Keldermann , Ronald Florijn, Robbert Bakker and Jürgen Nelis , the Dutch double scull took sixth place at the 1987 World Championships in Copenhagen.
