Luka Špik (born February 9, 1979 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian rower . With an Olympic gold, silver and bronze medal each at the Olympic Games, he is one of the most successful athletes in Slovenia.

Špik was the best single rower in the junior category. In his first year in the adult class he formed a double scull with Iztok Čop in 1999 , which immediately dominated this boat class. The two won the 1999 World Championships and at the 2000 Olympic Games they won the first ever Olympic gold medal for Slovenia. From 2001, Čop tried his hand at the one, as he did before 1999, while Špik with other partners at world championships could not row into the medal ranks.

At the 2004 Olympic Games Luka Špik and Iztok Čop competed together again, surprisingly lost to the French Sébastien Vieilledent and Adrien Hardy . In 2005, Špik and Čop competed in two boat classes at the world championships, and the day after the victory in the double scull, the two rowed silver in the double scull . After silver in 2006, the two won gold again at the 2007 World Rowing Championships in Munich. After 2007, Špik continued to regularly reach the A-final at world championships, he won an international medal again after five years: Luka Špik and Iztok Čop received bronze medals at the Olympic Games in London.
