Frank Hansen (born August 4, 1945 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian rower .

Life

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich , he and Svein Thøgersen won silver in a double scull . He then won numerous other victories in the same boat class with his brother Alf John Hansen . Between 1974 and 1979 they were world champions three times and vice-world champions once. He achieved his greatest success at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , when he and his brother Alf won the gold medal in the double scull.

In 1975 he and his brother won the Morgenbladet gold medal , and in 1976 the Fearnleys olympiske ærespris .

At the Olympic Games in 1980 in Moscow Frank Hansen was unable to attend because of the international boycott on which Norway also participated. Then he ended his rowing career.
