Matthieu Androdias

Matthieu Androdias (born June 11, 1990 in La Rochelle ) is a French rower .

Career

Androdias started rowing in 2005. In 2008 he finished fifth with the double foursome at the Junior World Championships , in 2009 he was fourth with the double foursome at the U23 World Championships . In 2011 he finished 13th in the double foursome at the World Championships in the adult class. In 2012 the quad qualified for the Olympic Games in Lucerne. In the Olympic regatta in Eton occupied Benjamin Chabanet , Matthieu Androdias, Pierre-Jean Peltier and Adrien Hardy tenth place.

2013 Androdias finished in one to ninth place in the European Championships in the World Cups he rowed with the eighth to sixth place. In 2014, the French eighth finished fifth at both the European and World Championships .

In 2015 Androdias formed a double scull with Hugo Boucheron . The two won the silver medal at the European Championships . With a sixth place at the World Championships in front of their home crowd, the two also qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games. After taking seventh place at the 2016 European Championships , they reached the A final at the 2016 Olympic Regatta in Rio de Janeiro and ended up finishing sixth. Also at the World Championships Androdias and Boucheron reached sixth place in double sculls. In 2018 the two won the titles at the European Championships in Glasgow and the World Championships in Plovdiv .
