Hugo Boucheron

Hugo Boucheron (born May 30, 1993 in Lyon ) is a French rower .

Career

Boucheron finished eleventh in 2010 with the eighth place at the Junior World Championships , at the Junior World Championships in 2011 he finished second in the double scull with Alberic Cormerais . In 2013 Cormerais and Boucheron rowed to eighth place at the European Championships . At the U23 World Championships in 2013, both sat in double fours and finished fifth. In 2014 Boucheron rowed in a quadruple scull to ninth place at the European Championships , at the U23 World Championships he started in singles and finished 17th. At the end of the 2104 season, Boucheron finished ninth with the French double foursome at the World Championships in Amsterdam .

In 2015 Boucheron formed a double scull with Matthieu Androdias . The two won the silver medal at the European Championships . With a sixth place at the World Championships in front of their home crowd, the two also qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games. After taking seventh place at the 2016 European Championships , they reached the A final at the 2016 Olympic Regatta in Rio de Janeiro and ended up finishing sixth.

In 2017 Boucheron finished fourth in the singles at the European Championships . At the World Championships Androdias and Boucheron achieved sixth place in the double scull. In 2018 the two won the titles at the European Championships in Glasgow and the World Championships in Plovdiv .
