Nathan Cohen MNZM (born January 2, 1986 in Christchurch ) is a New Zealand rower who won the double scull world title in 2010 and 2011 .

Cohen took second place in the one behind the Russian Alexander Kornilov at the Junior World Championships 2003 ; In 2004 he repeated his second place, this time behind the Romanian Daniel Frateanu. In 2006 he won his third single silver medal when he lost to the German Karsten Brodowski at the U23 World Championships .

In 2007 Cohen started in the World Cup for the first time. First he formed a double scull with Joseph Sullivan , then with Matthew Trott , with whom he finished sixth at the 2007 World Rowing Championships in Munich. In 2008 Rob Waddell joined him on the boat, the two of them won the World Cup regattas in Lucerne and Posen. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the two just missed a medal rank as fourth. In 2009 Matthew Trott returned to the boat, this duo finished fourth at the 2009 World Rowing Championships . In 2010 Joseph Sullivan and Nathan Cohen again formed the New Zealand double scull, after a seventh place at the World Cup in Munich and a third place in Lucerne, the two won the title at the 2010 World Rowing Championships on Lake Karapiro on the North Island of New Zealand. That Sullivan and Cohen were not only successful in front of their home crowd, they showed in 2011 with World Cup victories in Hamburg and Lucerne, as well as successfully defending their title at the 2011 World Rowing Championships in Bled. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , Cohen and Sullivan rowed the gold medal in front of the Italian two-man.
