Bernard Monnereau

Bernard Monnereau (born September 18, 1935 in Tôtes , Département Seine-Maritime ; † August 25, 2019 ) was a French rower .

The Rouen-based René Duhamel and Bernard Monnereau took second place behind the Soviet two-man Berkutow / Tjukalow at the European Rowing Championships in 1958 in a double scull . At the Olympic Games in 1960 , the two French took fourth place.

In 1962 the first rowing world championships took place on the Rotsee near Lucerne . German rowers won five of seven gold medals, only in the two Skull won -Bootsklassen other rowing associations: Vyacheslav Ivanov of the Soviet Union in one and Monnereau / Duhamel in double sculls, in the double sculls silver went to the Soviet Union and bronze to Germany. At the Olympic Games in 1964 , the two French took sixth place.
