Yūsuke Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 佑 典 , Tanaka Yūsuke ; born November 29, 1989 in Wakayama Prefecture ) is a Japanese gymnast . His greatest success so far is winning an Olympic gold medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, which he won in the all- around finals together with Ryōhei Katō , Kohei Uchimura , Kenzo Shirai and Koji Yamamuro.
He won a silver medal in the team competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London .
He is studying at Juntendō University .
