Kenneth Myers
Kenneth Holston "Ken" Myers (born August 26, 1896 in Norristown , † September 22, 1974 ) was an American rowing athlete . Along with Paul Costello , John B. Kelly senior and Conn Findlay , he is the only US rower to have won three Olympic medals.
Kenneth Myers won his first Olympic medal with silver together with his club mates Carl Klose , Franz Federschmidt and Erich Federschmidt from the Pennsylvania Barge Club and the helmsman Sherman Clark at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp in a foursome with helmsman behind the team from Switzerland. Eight years later he took part in the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam . Here he competed in the single and was again silver medalist behind the Australian Henry Pearce . In 1929 he won two titles in one at the US championships. For the third time he took part in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , now starting for the Bachelors Barge Club . Together with William Gilmore he competed in double sculls and won the gold medal.
